Activities Abound - What We're Actually Doing Here, Continued

There are a wide variety of activities in which we'll be involved over the course of the year. But over and over, we've heard that the most important thing is that we LOVE the students. (1 Corinthians 13, a Biblical description of love - yet another humbling charge)

Together:
*small group Bible study & prayer group in Tim & Bonnie's home on Sunday nights (looking at a John Piper DVD series)
*teaching Sunday School (or maybe teaching separately a boys group and a girls group)
*supervising the cafo one night/week (aka free meal and time to hang out with students)
*hosting a caring community group once/month in our home (mainly a fun/fellowship night)
*monthly community outreach with students (specifics yet to be determined)
*periodic activity nights with students on weekends (ice cream social in our home this weekend)
*staff meetings 1-2x/month

Alex:
*teaching AP Biology (1 section)
*co-teaching AP Calculus (2 sections)
*networking infrastructure (afternoons)
*asst. JV soccer coach (late afternoons)
*Wednesday night Geezer soccer
*Sunday afternoon Geezer (basket)ball

Melissa:
*cooperative pre-school (rotating teaching)
*teaching grades K-4 music/children's choir - 45 minutes each day
*Leading K-4 children to sing monthly in church
*occasionally teaching children's church (4-5 year olds during sermons)
*managing the household :)
*spending lots of time withAndrew

Abby:
*school from 8-3
*Tues/Thurs sports 4-5
*Fri and Sat Titchie activities
*maybe a ballet class one afternoon
*attending Sunday School

Andrew:
*cooperative pre-school 2-3 mornings/week
*attending Sunday School
*tagging along to Mommy's music classes
*spending lots of time with Mommy
