Christmas Day

On Christmas morning, the kids enjoyed opening their stockings and gifts. We had a sweet time together. It was a much simpler Christmas than in the US - we rather enjoyed the limited shopping options.

Later in the morning, we shared Christmas brunch with our next door neighbors and were delighted to share in a few of their traditions. We played the matchstick game. Their teenage son had hidden about 35 matchsticks around the LR and DR and Abby & Andrew had to find them all! This is not as easy as it sounds (even for the adults). They also read us the book, "The Christmas Miracle of Jonathan Toomey" which is a wonderful Christmas story.

Later in the day we had Christmas dinner with some other friends on campus. Following dinner, we played a few games. Here are a few photos of the kids playing dominoes with Doug and Lisa.
