We had the pleasure of spending Thanksgiving day with RVA friends and enjoyed quite a feast! Some of you have asked if we had turkey and the answer is YES! Our hosts, Charlotte and Vic, bought and roasted a fresh turkey from a local farm. We enjoyed all the typical treats: turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, carrot souffle, sweet potatoes with marshmallows, rolls, and even cranberry sauce (imported, of course). I baked the pumpkin (from an actual pumpkin - not a can) pie and the apple pie (my mom's recipe), complete with whipped cream!
